Nutella fudge is the most delicious, smooth and creamy chocolatey fudge. So simple to make, this no-boil recipe is bursting with Nutella flavour. It’s bound to be a firm favourite with all the family.
We love baking with Nutella – adding it to a dish can be a really simple way of jazzing up your favourite bakes. So if you love Nutella too, you’ll love this Nutella fudge.
This easy no-boil recipe is my favourite way of making fudge. There’s no need to heat it all to a certain temperature which isn’t something I like doing with children around. Condensed milk fudge is a much easier and much safer way of making fudge which is perfect when kids want to get involved.
How can kids help to make Nutella fudge?
Homemade fudge using the no-boil method is really simple, so it’s a great treat for kids to help make. In fact, it’s so easy older children can make the whole thing themselves.
Once your kids have measured out and broken up the chocolate they can melt it together with the rest of the ingredients. Measuring out the Nutella is another easy job, but can get a little messy if you’re not careful!
Melting and mixing the fudge all together isn’t the best job for very young children or toddlers but older children who can be trusted to be safe around a hot pan can help with this job.
Finally, your kids can help pour the fudge into the tin and spread it all out.
Can you make fudge in a microwave?
Yes. You can make this fudge in a microwave if you have one. I prefer to use a double boiler as I can heat everything very gently in it and see it all come together, but it’ll work in a microwave just as well.
To make microwave fudge, simply put all the ingredients into a microwavable bowl and heat it at 80% power in 30 second intervals. Stir the fudge in between each 30 second burst and stop heating it when everything has come together and melted.
You can also make fudge in a slow cooker. To find out how, check out our slow cooker fudge recipe.
What else can you add to the Nutella fudge?
The Nutella fudge is delicious as it is, but if you want you could add some crushed nuts on top or stirred through your mixture. Not only will the nuts add some extra nutty flavour, they’ll add some interesting crunchy texture.
You could also add some hazelnut chocolate pieces like a cut up Ferrero Rocher or Kinder Bueno.
How long does the fudge keep?
This fudge will keep for a week or two in an airtight container, which makes it perfect for homemade gifts for friends and family.
If you want to keep the fudge for longer, you can freeze it for a few months. Simply wrap it well in cling film, and pop it in a freezer bag or airtight container. Thaw it at room temperature overnight before serving.

Ingredients
300g milk chocolate
397g tin condensed milk
300g Nutella
How to make Nutella fudge
Line an 8 inch (20cm) square baking tin with baking or parchment paper. We find it easier to cut a long strip and place it in the tin one way then do the same in the other direction. Leave a bit of an overhang to help you remove the fudge from the tin later.
Melt the fudge ingredients together
Start by getting your kids to weigh the chocolate out, break it up and add it to a heatproof bowl.
Measure out the Nutella and add that to your bowl, then pour in the tin of condensed milk
Put the bowl on top of a pan of simmering water (a double boiler).
Melt everything together, stirring all the time until it comes together in a nice smooth consistency. If you have older children they may be able to help with this if they can be safe around the cooker. I wouldn’t recommend little kids helping with this step as it can get a bit hot.
Make the Nutella fudge
Pour the Nutella fudge mixture into your prepared baking tin. Smooth it down with a spatula or the back of a spoon, being sure to push it into the corners.
Leave the fudge to set.
Cover your fudge in cling film/ glad wrap and leave it to set. Once it has cooled down a enough, put it in the fridge for a few hours to set completely.
When the fudge has firmed up, cut it into small pieces with a sharp knife (this is a job for grown ups).
Serve and enjoy!
