White chocolate fudge
This white chocolate fudge recipe is the easiest fudge recipe. Using the no-boil method with only 2 ingredients, it’s so simple even children can make it.
White chocolate fudge is a must have treat for any white chocolate lovers. With only 2 ingredients it’s really easy to make, so easy its perfect for kids to get involved with.
Why not get your kids busy in the kitchen during the holiday season to make this a lovely homemade gift for friends and family. Once you’ve made it you can pop the fudge into individual gift bags and they’re ready to go.
This easy no-boil recipe is my favourite way of making fudge. Condensed milk fudge is a much easier and much safer way of making fudge as there’s no need to heat or boil it to a certain temperature. This means less can go wrong in terms of getting the fudge to set. It’s also a lot safer if you’re making it with children – I don’t really like having children around when I’m doing something with boiling sugar.
How can kids help to make white chocolate fudge?
Homemade fudge using the no-boil method as this recipe does is really simple, which makes it a great treat for kids to help with. In fact, it’s so easy older children, as long as you can trust them around a hot cooker, can make the whole thing themselves.
Once your kids have measured out and broken up the chocolate they can melt it together with the condensed milk.
Melting and mixing the fudge all together isn’t the best job for very young children or toddlers but older children who can be trusted to be safe around a hot pan can help with this job.
Finally, your kids can help pour the fudge into the tin and spread it all out and then help to decorate it with sprinkles if you’re using them.
Can you make fudge in a microwave?
Yes. You can make this fudge in a microwave if you have one. I prefer to use a double boiler as I can heat everything very gently in it and see it all come together, but it’ll work in a microwave just as well.
To make microwave fudge, simply put all the ingredients into a microwavable bowl and heat it at 80% power in 30 second intervals. Stir the fudge in between each 30 second burst and stop heating it when everything has come together and melted.
You can also make fudge in a slow cooker. To find out how, check out our slow cooker fudge recipe.
How long does fudge keep?
This fudge will keep for a week or two in an airtight container, which makes it perfect for homemade gifts for friends and family.
If you want to keep the fudge for longer, you can freeze it for a few months. Simply wrap it well in cling film or tin foil and pop it in a freezer bag or airtight container. Thaw it at room temperature overnight before serving.
What can I add to the white chocolate fudge?
This is such a simple recipe and is a deliciously smooth, sweet fudge on its own. If you want to add a bit of crunch or texture, it would also be scrumptious with a few nuts or broken up cookies stirred through or added on top.
What chocolate should I use?
Use the best white chocolate you can afford. With a simple fudge like this, it’s only going to be as good as your ingredients. The same goes for the condensed milk. We’ve used supermarket own brand condensed milk as well as Carnation condensed milk to make fudge and you can certainly taste the difference.

Ingredients
500g white chocolate
397g tin condensed milk
Sprinkles to decorate (optional)
How to make white chocolate fudge
Line a square 8 inch (20cm) baking tin with baking or parchment paper. We find the easiest way to do this is to cut a long strip and place it one way in the tin, then do the same in the other direction. Leave a bit of baking paper overhanging to help you remove the fudge from the tin later.
Melt the fudge ingredients together
Start by getting your kids to weigh the white chocolate out, then break it up and add it to a heatproof bowl.
Pour in the tin of condensed milk.
Place the bowl on top of a pan of simmering water (a double boiler).
Melt the chocolate and condensed milk together. Stir it all the time with a spatula or wooden spoon until it comes together in a nice smooth consistency. If you have older children that are safe around a cooker, they may be able to help to stir the fudge. I wouldn’t recommend little kids helping with this step as it can get a bit hot and you need to be particularly careful touching the bowl.
Make the white chocolate fudge
Pour the white chocolate fudge mixture into your prepared baking tin. Using the back of a spoon or your spatula, get your kids to smooth the top and press it down into the corners.
If you want to decorate your fudge you can get your kids to add some sprinkles on top before it sets. Gently press them into the top of the fudge to make sure they stick.
Leave the fudge to set
Cover your fudge in cling film/glad wrap or tin foil and leave it somewhere cool to set. Once it has cooled down a enough you can put it in the fridge for a few hours to set completely.
When the fudge has firmed up, cut it into small pieces with a sharp knife (this is a job for grown ups).
Serve and enjoy!
