Flapjacks are a great, easy bake for children. Using storecupboard ingredients you can add whatever you like to the basic recipe and these chocolate flapjacks do exactly that. With chocolate chips in the mix and a layer of chocolate on top they’re the perfect treat for any chocoholic. My son loves chocolate and my daughter loaves oaty bars so these are the ultimate combination.
Chocolate flapjacks feel quite indulgent so they’re certainly not a healthy bake. If you want a slightly healthier version, why not try our fruity honey flapjacks, they’ve got no refined sugar so are great if you want to limit your kid’s sugar intake.

How much sugar? And what type? This isn’t shown in the ingredients list but mentioned in the instructions ??♀️
oops sorry! It was 50g and we used demerara sugar, but it would work with granulated sugar if you don’t have that.
