Ingredients

  • 12 Chipolata sausages
  • 12 strips of streaky bacon

Equipment

  • 12 Chipolata sausages
  • 12 strips of streaky bacon

Method

Preheat your oven to 200C / 180C Fan / F and lightly grease a small baking tray with oil.
Make the sausages wrapped in bacon
    1. Separate the strips of bacon. Ours tends to come in 6 wide strips that we then rip in half so they are about 1-2 inches (3cm) wide.
    2. Now, take each sausage and, starting at one end, wrap a strip of bacon around it, overlapping slightly and moving along until the whole sausage is wrapped. When you're done, pop it on your baking tray, tucking the loose end under.
    Bake the pigs in blankets
    1. Bake the sausages wrapped in bacon for about 30 minutes. They're ready when the bacon looks crispy, cooked and has turned a nice golden brown colour at the edges.
    2. Remove them from the oven, serve and enjoy.
