Method
- Line a square 8 inch (20cm) baking tin with baking or parchment paper.
Melt the fudge ingredients together
- Weigh the chocolate, then break it up and add it to a heatproof bowl.Pour in the whole tin of condensed milk.Melt the chocolate and condensed milk together in a double boiler (ie put your bowl on top of a bowl of simmering water).
- Keep stirring it with a wooden spoon or spatula until the chocolate has melted and it comes together in a nice smooth consistency.
Make the Oreo fudge
- While the fudge is melting, measure out Oreos and break them into small pieces. You can break some pieces quite small, but make sure you leave some larger chunks of biscuits too.Keep some of the crushed Oreos back to add to the top of the fudge. Remove the fudge from the heat and add the Oreo pieces. Stir it all in so they are mixed through.
- Pour the fudge mixture into your prepared baking tin. Using the back of a spoon or your spatula smooth the top and press it down into the corners.Sprinkle the remaining Oreos on top. Press them in gently so they stick to the fudge.
Leave the fudge to set
- Cover your fudge in cling film/glad wrap or tin foil and leave it somewhere cool to set. Once it has cooled down a enough you can put it in the fridge for a few hours to set completely.
- When the fudge has firmed up, cut it into small pieces with a sharp knife (this is a job for grown ups).
