Ingredients

  • 500 g milk chocolate
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • A large knob of butter
  • 1 can 395g sweetened condensed milk
  • Maltesers

Method

Break the chocolate up
  1. Break the chocolate into small pieces and add it to your slow cooker or crockpot.
Add the remaining ingredients
  1. Add the vanilla extract, butter and condensed milk to your slow cooker.
  2. Give everything a good mix.
Cook the slow cooker fudge
  1. Leave the fudge to cook on a low heat for around 2 hours. Stir it with a non stick spoon every 15 minutes or so.
Leave the Malteser fudge to set
  1. Line an 8 inch baking tray with baking paper. You can use a larger or smaller tin if you want thicker or thinner fudge. Leave it to cool a little before sprinkling the Maltesers on top. Push a few into the fudge as well so you have some in the middle when you cut into it.
  2. Put the Malteser fudge in the fridge for a few hours until it has set.
  3. Cut into small squares and enjoy.

Notes

If you don't have a slow cooker you can cook the fudge in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water.
