Method
Measure the cornflakes
- Measure the cornflakes into a large bowl (you don’t need to be too precise).
Melt the butter and marshmallows.
- Weigh the butter and pop it into a small saucepan. Melt it over a low heat. Meanwhile, measure the cups of marshmallows into a small bowl. Once the butter has melted add the marshmallows and stir until they are completely melted.
- Add, the food colouring and stir until you have a nice green mixture.
Make the Christmas wreaths
- Pour the melted marshmallows into cornflakes. Stir until everything is evenly coated.
- Put a sheet of baking paper down on your counter or on a large baking tray. Spoon dollops of cornflakes onto the baking paper.
- This next part is sticky/messy so before you start either wet or grease your hands with butter or oil. Use your fingers to shape each spoonful of cornflakes into a wreath shape.
- Put a few red sweets or star sprinkles on to each wreath to decorate.
- Leave your Christmas wreaths aside to set. They will keep for a few days in an airtight container.
