Rocky road

Rocky road is one of the easiest things you can make with your kids. You can add anything you want to this no-bake treat to make it just as you like it.

  • 1 1/2 packets plain biscuits (eg Rich teas /Malted Milk)
  • 250 g butter
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tin condensed milk
  • 100 g raisins
  • 1 packet mini marshmallows
  • 300 g milk chocolate


Line a 20x20cm baking tin with baking paper

    Crush the biscuits

    • Empty the packets of biscuits into a large bowl and bash them with a rolling pin until they are nicely crushed. Set the bowl aside for now.

    Make the butter/milk mixture

    • Add the butter, condensed milk and cocoa powder to a small saucepan. Melt it over a low heat, mixing it together so it is will combined.

    Mix everything together

    • Add the melted mixture to the bowl of biscuits alongside the raisins and mini marshmallows. Mix it all together so it's all well coated.
    • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking tin and press it down with the back of a spoon or spatula.

    Add the melted chocolate

    • Melt the chocolate in the microwave then pour over the base of the rocky road. Cover it in cling film and leave it to set in thte fridge for 4 hours. Cut into slices and serve.
