For the lemon sponges caster sugars; self-raising flour;mbaking powder; butter 4 eggs; zest of 2 lemons; lemon juice

For the lemon buttercream unsalted butter, icing / confectioners sugar, lemon juice

Find out how to make it...

Add all the sponge ingredients to a mixing bowl. Mix.

Add the batter to 2 cake tins. Bake for 20 mins

Make the lemon buttercream icing, and spread it on the sponges.

Serve and enjoy!
